Ocean View - October 16, 2011

There are times when a late afternoon stroll on a nearby beach is just what's needed to clear the head and quiet the mind.

The cure for anything is salt water --sweat,  tears, or the sea.

  1. Nice time of year for the beach -- you have it all to yourselves (save for some seagulls). This reminds me of when I lived in Ocean City. And reminds me also I haven't even seen Progreso yet!

  2. Yes, the good beach season starts when the summer hordes leave, as far as I am concerned. I love the Dinesen quote. Maybe it's time to find my copy of Seven Gothic Tales.

    Welcome back to the neighborhood.

  4. Lee, Marc - yes, this is my favorite time of year for the beach as well. I'm glad you liked the quote, Marc, although I'm not sure if it came from one of her books or is just something she said that 'somebody' remembered. It does seem to ring true for me.

  5. Hi Debbie.
I'm sorry. I should have labeled the photos. They are from yesterday on the Chesapeake Bay. We will not be in Mérida until 1 Nov. Now that I re-read Marc's comment, I think I might have unintentionally fooled him as well.

  6. Yes, I thought you were here. I didn't look closely at the images, and thought they were from around here somewhere... Look forward to meeting you when you get down here.
